For over 50 years, Prather & Harlan A/C has proudly served our local community and surrounding areas, delivering trusted heating and cooling solutions to both residential and commercial customers. 

Our story began in 1972, when Fred Prather and Bill “Tinker” Harlan joined forces to create a company rooted in integrity and excellence. After Fred’s passing, Tinker honored their shared legacy by continuing with Prather’s name, a testament to their partnership and the business they built together.

Tinker’s son, Steven Harlan, grew up immersed in the family business, working alongside his father as a child before becoming a full-time employee in 1995. After 15 years as a dedicated Service Tech, Steven stepped into the role of President in 2009, allowing Tinker to embrace his role as “Pawpaw” to his four grandkids.

Today, Steven carries forward the family’s passion for the HVAC industry, instilling the same dedication and work ethic in his two sons. With a vision for Prather & Harlan A/C to thrive through another generation, Steven ensures that every customer experience reflects our commitment to quality, reliability, and optimum comfort solutions.
